THE WARM UP — NYC MARATHON STRATEGY SESSION
Community Strategy & Experiential Production
Conceived and produced a pre–New York City Marathon strategy event designed to prepare runners mentally, tactically, and socially for race day.
I invited certified NYC-based performance coaches Kati Billow and Emily Erdos to lead a structured forum on race execution, fueling strategy, course breakdown, and mental framing. The session blended performance insight with intentional community-building, positioning preparation as a shared ritual.
Hosted at Walker Hotel (Tribeca) Rooftop in partnership with Cadence and The Feed, the morning activation included:
Custom-designed race strategy pamphlets (course map, fuel guidance, pacing notes)
Shoe-beading and bib customization stations
Community coffee service
Spectator cheer guide for friends & family
Branded print materials and event collateral
I led concept development, talent curation, spatial planning, printed asset design, and social distribution.
The result was a high-density gathering of committed marathoners in the final days before NYCM — reinforcing cross-brand proximity within NYC’s performance ecosystem and strengthening long-term relational capital across coaches, athletes, hospitality partners, and performance brands.
